On this date Manikganj Land Record Office application was implemented and commissioned by IBCS-PRIMAX Software (Bangladesh) Ltd
A vast majority of the law-suits in Bangladesh involve land-related issues. Subsequently, there is a crying need for proper preservation of land-related documents, such as khatians. If scanned images of these khatians are stored in a digital format, it is much easier to store and retrieve these documents. The SICT Program has undertaken the important task of implementing a pilot project in Manikganj’s Land Record Office to digitally store images of khatians.
Improved governance and benefits citizens are to receive after successful completion of this project include:
- Public receive faster services in obtaining porchas (land documents) through IBCS-PRIMAX customized application used for Image storage, Archiving, Retrieving and Printing of Khatian and Mouza Maps
- Improved quality of printed and certified copy of Khatian/ Mouza map, instead of manual hand-written copy and poor map photo-copies
- The process of retrieving and printing a khatian/mouza maps is faster then the previous manual process.
- Digital storage of land maps and customer details helps to prevent tampering of old records and fraud.
